I was beautiful once,
My long hair touched the floor,
My nails painted obsidian,
My pinkish legs were to be adored.
Now and forevermore I will adorn these scales of a beast,
Now I will decorate these locks of snakes,
A mirror once an ally,
Now a putrefied adonis.
Once accompanied,
Now ran from,
My form is no longer welcomed,
I’m beckoned by my sisters,
I must leave,
For seeing me is only to be believed,
And seeing me will bring you to your knees,
Stones thrown by those who once thought of love,
Now feel hatred in their heart.
No longer will my hair touch the floor,
I will be adored no longer
For I am a gorgon.
